We had our second shower for the McBaby a couple of days ago at Darby. I was surprised to see how many people stayed after a long day of school to wish us well and "shower" us with goodies for the little babe. Even some of the COACHES came and stayed!! (I think they might have been there for the cake!)

Not a whole lot of difference through the last few weeks. The biggest difference I can notice is that she seems to be moving ALL the time! I absolutely ADORE it, though! I'm scared to imagine a day when I won't be able to keep track of her every move...
I went today to pick up the crib bedding...it's perfect...better than I could have pictured!

We finally got the nursery painted today. It's really starting to look like a new home for somebody! I'll update when I get the new bedding in...

We got a call yesterday that our new chair for the McBaby's room came in 2 weeks earlier than expected! So we went to pick it up, but Darren didn't want to put in the nursery until after we paint this weekend. Instead, it's sitting in our living room.

Here are some pictures from our first baby shower. Athena, Donna Jo, Kelli and Sam hosted it for us at Kimmons. It was really fun and I was overwhelmed at everyone's generosity!

I've said it before, but I'll say it again...It just seems like Molly is waiting for the McBaby to come live in her new room. She sees the changes every few days, and keeps wandering in and out, checking out the progress. Then she'll get on her dog bed and look out the window, like she expects to see a car pull up with the new arrival... (Gee, mom wishes it were that easy!)
We've had quite an eventful weekend! Saturday was Darren's "official" graduation day...even though he technically graduated with his Doctorate back in August. In fact, he's had the diploma, title (Dr.), and pay-raise since then! But Saturday he got to wear the fancy velvet-trimmed robe and walk across the stage.
Sunday was also an important day. It was Darren's 34th birthday and Jen's 1st Mother's Day. Tomorrow (Monday) wraps up our BIG weekend...it's Molly's 6th birthday!

We have turned the Molly's world upside down here lately. First we moved the queen sized bed to the back bedroom, then got new bedding for that bed, and now I've replaced her "doggie" bed in the nursery with one that matches the McBaby's future bedding. I even moved the trunk that her bed sits on from right under the front window to the corner next to the window. She can still look outside, but it's still a different view for her. Guess she just oughtta get used to the changes...there is more where that came from!
