I found these pictures on our computer that I had previously scanned. It was a fun little walk down memory lane. I can't wait to have some shots like this of our little one!

(Where is my carseat???)

(Nice "kewpie-doll" hair...)

(I think I still have the same profile today...especially the belly these days!)

The long-awaited news that we've all been anticipating...
.

It's a GIRL!!!!
(And she's already learned how to boss people around by wagging that finger
...just like her Mommy!)

I'm getting a little antsy this morning for our ultrasound appointment this afternoon! Hopefully by later this evening I'll be able to post the news of whether the McBaby is a GIRL or a BOY! Wish us luck for a healthy McBaby!

This is my favorite time of the year. The Championship Week and the first four days of the NCAA tournament is the best tv all year. Who do I think will win the tournament? Depends which bracket you are looking at. I really think it will be a UNC/Memphis final. Let's just hope the Hogs win tomorrow. ~Darren

In anticipation of the unveiling of the McBaby's gender, Darren and I have made a few gender-neutral purchases recently. It's actually been driving me crazy that I haven't been able to shop for the baby yet, so I'm very excited when I find something that will be suitable for a girl OR a boy.
We found this cute "astrological" onesie at BabyGap. We are fairly confident that with a due date of August 10, the McBaby will safely fall into the Leo birthdates of July 23-August 22.

I also fell in love with this Vera Bradley diaper bag in the new "Daisy Daisy" pattern. It's in my favorite colors of kelly green and navy blue...totally appropriate for girls OR boys, in my opinion!

Only 9 days until our gender-revealing ultrasound...
Stay tuned for further developments!
(Check back after 3/26!)

As I mentioned in the post about our anniversary, and for those who may not already know, I absolutely LOVE cookie cake. Not just any cookie cake, though. It MUST be a Great American Cookie Company cookie cake...with lot of icing. Here are just a few shots of the most recent cookie cakes to cross the doorway of our home...Enjoy! (I know I did!)

It's hard to believe that it's been 9 YEARS already since 3/13/99!!!
(Have I mentioned recently how much I LOVE cookie cake???)

Here are some pictures from last week's "freak" spring snow. (Okay, I know it's not technically spring yet, but it is March!!)

Friday Morning

Darren and I just had the best weekend! Saturday morning we dropped Molly off at "Grandma and Grandpa's", then headed to Little Rock for the night (at the Embassy Suites--my favorite hotel). We shopped, ate, and saw Michael Buble' on Saturday night! He was incredible! His opening act was a group called "Naturally 7". It was 7 guys who create all of their music vocally. And we're not talking your traditional a capella, either. They literally create instrumentation with their voices!! It's AWESOME and you should check them out sometime...

But our weekend wasn't over Saturday night. After a really good free breakfast at the hotel, a little shopping at Target, and lunch at the Purple Cow (including the famous PB&J milkshake), we were privileged to see BILL COSBY at the Robinson Auditorium! He is truly a living legend! It really took both of us back to our childhoods...it was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend!

I'm really enjoying the new camera...learning about different settings, etc. The biggest problem is that I only seem to have one "subject"...Molly. Of course, we think she is the sweetest pup in the world (which she is). So until the McBaby arrives, expect to see quite a few Molly shots on here. Sorry...[shrug]
